Empowering Livelihoods Through Research: Key Insights from Our Recent Study

At ART Lab, our commitment to evidence-based research continues to drive impactful change in communities. Our recent study highlights significant improvements in vocational training outcomes and household asset growth, demonstrating the power of well-structured development programs.

Vocational Training: A Path to Economic Empowerment

Vocational training plays a crucial role in enhancing income-generating opportunities. Our findings reveal that 81.5% of vocational trainees (22 out of 27 sampled beneficiaries from a total of 45) have successfully increased their monthly income above BDT 5,800. This marks a promising shift in economic resilience and financial independence.

Furthermore, the study highlights the average income of these 22 trainees at BDT 2,950, while the overall average income of all 27 sampled trainees stands at BDT 8,750. This showcases the tangible impact of vocational training in equipping individuals with the necessary skills to improve their livelihoods.

Household Asset Growth: A Measure of Economic Stability

Sustained economic growth is often reflected in household asset accumulation. Our study finds that 90% of sampled households (184 out of 204) have increased their productive asset value beyond BDT 14,000 through project support. Moreover, another sample group indicates that 94% of households (167 out of 177) experienced similar asset growth, with an average asset value of BDT 33,218.

Beyond individual success stories, the average household asset value is BDT 45,572, a clear indication of economic strengthening. Additionally, project support contributions averaged BDT 26,354, providing a solid foundation for financial resilience among beneficiary households.

Why These Findings Matter

These insights underline the significance of structured interventions in economic development. When individuals and households gain financial stability, it leads to improved quality of life, better opportunities for education, and enhanced community well-being. Our research underscores the importance of continued investment in skill-building initiatives and sustainable economic programs.
