The ART Lab is gearing up to launch an innovative, interactive Groundwater and Energy Insights Dashboard in mid-November 2025. This platform, developed with support from the ICCAD Youth Innovation Fund 2025, is set to offer real-time observational data and key analytics to promote data-driven awareness of sustainable groundwater management and energy-efficient farming practices.
Key Features and Analytics
The dashboard provides a comprehensive view of resource utilization and environmental impact, focusing on solar-powered irrigation systems. Visitors, researchers, and stakeholders will be able to explore several critical analytics:
Groundwater Level Observations: Visual tracking of groundwater depth changes over time, providing immediate insights into the health and sustainability of local water layers.
Water & Energy Use Metrics: Data-driven insights into irrigation efficiency and overall resource utilization, helping to identify best practices for conservation.
Power Use vs. Efficiency Plot: A unique visualization that helps users understand the direct relationship between solar energy consumption and resulting irrigation performance.
Monthly Comparative Graphs: Side-by-side graphs will illustrate the stark difference in electricity consumption between traditional and the newer solar-based irrigation systems, highlighting the energy-saving benefits of the sustainable technology.
Incorporating Farmer Insights
A central goal of the platform is to ensure its relevance and practical application in the field. ARTLab plans to incorporate farmers’ insights and feedback from those actively using the technology. This vital human element will enrich the data, providing a holistic perspective on the effectiveness and challenges of deploying tech-based sustainable solutions.
Driving Sustainable Awareness
This initiative is a critical step towards fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making in agriculture. By making complex environmental and energy data accessible, the AR TLab Dashboard aims to empower communities, policymakers, and researchers to work towards a more sustainable and resource-efficient future. Keep an eye on the ART Lab pages for the official launch announcement this November!
