About the Position

The Research Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising research, monitoring and evaluation, data management, and consultancy assignments. The selected candidate will work closely with senior management, consultants, research teams, field teams, and clients to ensure timely delivery of high-quality research outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage research, monitoring and evaluation, baseline, endline, impact study, and assessment assignments
• Develop research design, methodology, work plans, sampling strategies, and data collection tools
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, field teams, data teams, and project stakeholders
• Supervise quantitative and qualitative data collection activities and ensure data quality
• Review questionnaires, interview guides, FGD guidelines, KII tools, and field protocols
• Guide data cleaning, coding, analysis, visualization, and interpretation of findings
• Prepare, review, and finalize technical reports, presentations, concept notes, and research documents
• Ensure project activities are completed within agreed timeline, quality standards, and ethical guidelines
• Support proposal development, technical writing, budgeting inputs, and client communication
• Mentor junior researchers, research assistants, interns, enumerators, and field supervisors

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Public Health, Education, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Data Science, Business, or any relevant discipline
• Strong experience in research, monitoring and evaluation, data management, project coordination, or consultancy work
• Proven ability to manage research teams and coordinate multiple assignments
• Excellent report writing, analytical, communication, and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards
• Good command of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and professional documentation tools

Preferred Skills

• Experience in baseline studies, endline evaluations, impact assessments, needs assessments, and market research
• Knowledge of KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, Google Forms, or other digital data collection platforms
• Working knowledge of SPSS, Stata, Excel, Power BI, R, Python, Tableau, or similar data analysis and visualization tools
• Experience in qualitative research, including KIIs, FGDs, IDIs, case studies, and thematic analysis
• Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, development partners, research firms, or consultancy organizations
• Strong leadership, team supervision, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
