Communication Intern

About the Internship

The Communication Intern will support ART Lab’s communication, documentation, content, and knowledge-sharing activities. The selected intern will work with the team to prepare written materials, social media content, project updates, visual documents, communication briefs, and other materials that help present ART Lab’s work in a clear and professional way.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing website content, social media posts, captions, and project updates
• Support the development of communication materials, event notes, and documentation briefs
• Assist in editing and formatting reports, profiles, presentations, and knowledge products
• Support visual content preparation using Canva, PowerPoint, or similar design tools
• Help collect, organize, and archive photos, field stories, case notes, and project materials
• Assist in drafting short articles, success stories, newsletters, and organizational updates
• Support communication planning for events, training programs, and project activities
• Coordinate with internal team members to collect information and prepare timely content

Who Can Apply

Bachelor’s students, Master’s students, and recent graduates from Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, English, Development Studies, Social Science, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or any relevant discipline are encouraged to apply. Applicants with interest in development-sector communication, research communication, and digital content creation will be given preference.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Good writing and communication skills in English and Bangla
• Interest in content writing, documentation, social media, and professional communication
• Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace
• Ability to write clearly, summarize information, and organize content professionally
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and complete tasks within deadlines
• Ability to work responsibly both independently and with a team

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other design tools
• Experience in social media content writing, page management, or digital communication
• Ability to prepare short reports, event summaries, captions, and visual presentations
• Basic photography, videography, or video editing knowledge will be considered an advantage
• Interest in research, development work, NGO/INGO projects, and consultancy communication
