About the Position

The Field Coordinator will support ART Lab’s research, monitoring and evaluation, data collection, field operation, and project implementation activities. The selected candidate will coordinate with field teams, enumerators, supervisors, research staff, and project management teams to ensure smooth field operations, quality data collection, proper documentation, and timely completion of assigned field activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate field-level research, survey, monitoring, and project activities
  • Supervise enumerators, data collectors, field supervisors, and local field teams
  • Support planning and implementation of data collection activities
  • Assist in organizing field training, orientation, and briefing sessions for field teams
  • Ensure proper use of survey tools, field protocols, ethical guidelines, and quality standards
  • Monitor daily field progress and report updates to the research and project teams
  • Support quality control, spot-checking, back-checking, and field-level data verification
  • Coordinate logistics, travel planning, field schedules, and communication with local stakeholders
  • Prepare field notes, daily updates, progress summaries, and field activity reports
  • Identify field challenges and communicate timely solutions to the management team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Sociology, Economics, Statistics, Public Health, Education, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Business, or any relevant discipline
  • Experience in field coordination, survey supervision, data collection, project implementation, or development-sector work will be preferred
  • Good communication, coordination, and team management skills
  • Ability to work with field teams, community members, local stakeholders, and project staff
  • Ability to travel to field locations when required
  • Good understanding of field-level data collection and research activities
  • Ability to work under pressure, solve field-level problems, and meet deadlines
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, Google Forms, or other digital data collection platforms
  • Experience in household surveys, KIIs, FGDs, IDIs, observation, or community-level data collection
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, baseline studies, endline studies, needs assessments, or impact studies
  • Strong field reporting, documentation, and coordination skills
  • Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, research firms, consultancy organizations, or development projects
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
