About the Position

The Data Analyst will support ART Lab’s research, monitoring and evaluation, survey, data management, and consultancy assignments. The selected candidate will be responsible for cleaning, organizing, analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to support high-quality research outputs, reports, dashboards, and client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, organize, validate, and manage quantitative and qualitative datasets
• Conduct statistical analysis using appropriate software and analytical techniques
• Prepare frequency tables, cross-tabulations, descriptive statistics, and advanced analysis as required
• Support survey data quality checks, consistency checks, and error identification
• Develop data visualizations, charts, tables, dashboards, and analytical summaries
• Assist in preparing research reports, evaluation reports, presentations, and technical documents
• Support questionnaire programming, data collection monitoring, and digital survey management when required
• Work with research teams to interpret findings and present insights clearly
• Maintain proper documentation of datasets, analysis files, syntax, and outputs
• Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and ethical handling of project data

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Development Studies, Public Health, Social Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or any relevant discipline
• Strong understanding of data cleaning, data management, and statistical analysis
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and at least one statistical software package
• Ability to analyze data and explain findings in a clear and practical way
• Good report writing, presentation, and documentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Strong skills in SPSS, Stata, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
• Experience with KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, Google Forms, or other digital data collection platforms
• Experience in survey data analysis, baseline studies, endline evaluations, impact studies, or needs assessments
• Knowledge of dashboard development and data visualization best practices
• Understanding of monitoring and evaluation indicators, logframes, and research datasets
• Experience in qualitative data coding or thematic analysis will be considered an advantage
• Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, research firms, consultancy organizations, or development projects will be preferred
